The 2014 New Zealand Pool Championships kicked off on Friday. Titahi Bay clubbie Steven Kent was among those athletes setting all kinds of records.

- Open Men's 100m Manikin Carry with Fins - Steven Kent, Titahi Bay, 47.57
- Open Men's 200m Super Lifesaver - Steven Kent Titahi Bay, 2.09.97
Records broken on Saturday the 30th August 2014:
- Open Men's 100m Rescue Medley - Steven Kent Titahi Bay, 01.01.06
- Open Men's 200m Swim With Obstacles - Steven Kent Titahi Bay, 01.55.16
The 2014 New Zealand Pool Championships doubles as a send-off for the New Zealand surf lifesaving team of which Steven is a member of. He and his team depart for France on September 8th. Keep up the great work Steve and good luck for your racing overseas!
