Porirua Sports Awards

Big congratulations to TBSLSC clubbie, Peter Jones (PJ) who scooped up the Service to Sport award at the recent Porirua Sports Awards!

PJ volunteers hours of his time and contributes in all aspects of the club. This includes co-running our Nipper programme, being the club's IRB coordinator, a member of the committee, volunteer board and craft coach, boat crew support, overseeer of equipment, and the general running of the club.

We thank him for everything he does for the club - without him (and others like him) we wouldn't be the club we are today.

Congratulations also to clubbies Steven Kent and Marty McDowell who were nominated for the Porirua Individual Sportsman of the Year award. Unfortunately neither won the overall award but it must have been been one helluva race to have beat either of these talented international sportsmen; both have had extremely successful and eventful seasons and we are proud of their results!
