Surf Sports is a significant component of the Surf Lifesaving movement and brings the opportunity for all members to train and compete at local, national and international Surf Life Saving events across a range of disciplines.
Fitter, faster, skilled lifeguards save lives.
Currently we have competitive Surf Boat Rowing and Craft teams and there is also the opportunity for IRB development (crew and driver) and racing.
Our Surf Sport athletes are expected to:
· Be a qualified and refreshed surf lifeguard
· Be a member of Titahi Bay SLSC
· Volunteer for the required number of patrols.

Our Craft programme caters for athletes 14 years+ and includes surf swimming, surf ski paddling, board paddling and beach running. Many of our Craft athletes have been part of our Junior Surf Programme and our Craft programme enables them to continue with the sport that they love.
Training three times per week through the summer season (mid-October to March) athletes can attend as many training sessions per week as fits in with their other commitments.
Our Craft programme also provides athletes with the opportunity to refine and practice their lifesaving skills in the competition arena at local, regional and national events.
